How to Assemble Your Garden Shed Part 3: Putting The Side Panels Together

Putting the Side Panels Together
To assemble the side walls of your EasyShed, you’ll first have to identify your side wall sheets using your instruction manual. Once you’ve identified them, lay them in order on your work area, and make sure that the angled sheets line up if there are any required for your shed build.
Bottom of Panel
Similar to building your back panel, overlap the panels at the joining ribs and secure at two points, one at the top of the panel and one at the bottom, using the self-tapping screws provided.
To ensure your screw positions are even around the shed, mark the fixing points at 600-millimetre increments from the bottom.
Identify and select the correct U-channel and slide it onto the bottom of the panels. Make sure the U-channel is flush with each end of the panel, then secure with a self-tapping screw at the second rib.
Repeat this process at the opposite end. Once done, secure the U-channel with self-tapping screws at every second rib.
Top of Panel
At the top of the panel, identify the correct channel and slide onto the sheeting. Ensure the ends are flush, and secure with a screw at each end.
If you are assembling a shed that includes a gusset plate, slide the gusset plate under the channel before securing along the remainder of the length of channel.
You can now secure the apex channel at every second rib, as well as the top and bottom of the gusset plate.
Once completed, place the assembled panels to one side.
